He was predeceased by: his wife Polly Harbaugh Earick; his parents, Eugene W. Earick and Evelyn P. Earick; and his grandson Lucian Earick. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Taylor (Josh) and Rodney Earick (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Carter Earick, Owen Taylor, Brody Earick, Nathan Taylor, Polly Taylor and Lola Earick.
