He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Klein Hess and Alison Williams Coe Hess. He is survived by: his significant other Paula Ransom Hess; his son Jeffrey (AnnMarie); his grandchildren, Ryan and Alison Hess (WI); his stepgrandchildren, Kasey and Caden Swander (OH); and his brother Alden Hess (Linda Beal) of Ooltewah, TN.
