He is survived by: his daughters, Summer Koehler (Matt) and Erica Bradley (Chioke); his brothers, Charles Hicks (Diane), Jonathan Hicks, Arthur Hicks (Brenda) and Patrick Hicks; his grandchildren, Myles, Mekhi, Chioke Jr., Lacee, Keontez, Izaak and Makayla; his close friend Gerald Thayer; his former wife Gayalene Hicks (Faulkner); and his pets, Penny and Ava May.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the VFW Post 9943 (806 Grace St, Mansfield, OH 44905).
