He was predeceased by: his parents, Evis Vance and Hazel Vance (Green); his wife Edna Faye Mullins; and his sisters, Janet and Gloria.

He is survived by: his children, Anthony Vance (Charissa), Jennifer Vance and Brian Vance; his grandchildren, Jennelle Vance, Katy, Aubrey Anderson, Kelly Tracht (Cody), Kennedy and Robert Vance; his great grandchild Kian Tracht; and his siblings, Roger Vance (Julie), Benny Vance, Brenda Kay Lowe, Pamela Ann Powers, Gary Vance (Joyce), Valeria Damron (Don) and Polly Phipps. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Avita Hospice.
