He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Black and Roger Black; his brother Frank Black; and his brother-in-law Joseph Humphrey. He is survived by: his wife Kaya Black; his sons, Roger Beyer (Jennifer), Martin Thomas (Lena) and Charles Blymyer; his grandchildren, Alexander, Thomas and Theo Black; his stepchildren, Monica Gonzales (John), Julie Turner (Brett) and John Messmore (Julianne); his stepgrandchildren, Morgan and Jax Gonzales; his stepchildren, Ryan, Adam Schmidt, Jack, Jason and Jenna Messmore; his great grandchildren, Daxten and Rowen Schmidt; his siblings, Edith Humphrey and David Black (Gretchen); and his sister-in-law Margaret Black.

Memorial contributions is memory of Gordon may be made to Raintree or Renaissance Theatre.
