He was predeceased by: his parents, Hampton Randall Austin Sr. and Betty Hill-Austin; his sister Marinette; his former wife Peggy; and his stepson Demetrius Bonner.

He is survived by: his fiancée Karen Swinning of Mansfield; and his siblings, Milton Hoy Jr. (Teresa) of Mansfield, Shirley Hoy of Toledo and Denise Hoy of Mansfield. He is also survived by two stepsons; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
