John E. Shafer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John E. Shafer of Mansfield, Ohio, born in Shelby, Ohio, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nettie Myrtle (Stillwagon); his brother Jack Shafer; his parents-in-law, Alex and Betty Colangelo; and his brother-in-law Mark Senger.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Colangelo Shafer; his son Todd Shafer (Angie); his grandchildren, Abby, Jonathan and Jackson; his siblings, Jim Shafer (Nancy) and Jane Senger; and his brother-in-law Larry Colangelo (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and a nephew.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospitals.
