He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kmetz and Emily Moritz Kmetz; his son Jay Kmetz; and his sisters, Emily Bradley and Louise Zgela.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Brucato Kmetz; his children, Andrea Kmetz of San Rafael, CA, Georganne Browne (Robert) of Williamsburg, MI, Gina Lannan (Guy) of Mansfield, Tony Kmetz (Jill) of Mansfield and Ken Kmetz (Christina) of Mansfield; and his grandchildren, Spencer, Olivia Kmetz, Emily Dalenberg, Nicholas Lannan, Jordan, Kaitlin Kmetz, Jay, Colin Kmetz and Cassidy Sirosky. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
