With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John P Poorman of Mansfield, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on April 18, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, John B. Poorman and Grace Poorman (Prosser); his wife Janet A. Poorman (Morrison); his daughter Carol Merritt (Poorman); his son-in-law Tony Merritt; and his sisters, Carolyn Williams, Shirley Cervone and Sharon Dillon.
He is survived by : his daughters, Vicky Zeigler (Chris) of Lexington and Patty Banton (Dale) of Pleasant Garden; his grandchildren, Danielle Hogan (Chris), Samantha Aker (Drew), Nick Banton and Bella Zeigler; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Levi, Lucas and Emma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel (2553 Lexington Ave, Mansfield, OH 44904). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 11:20 AM to 11:45 AM at the Oak Grove Memorial Park (4108 US-42, Mansfield, OH 44904).
