It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Shaffer of Mansfield, Ohio, who passed away on March 6, 2023, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, James Leo Shaffer and Nanci Elizabeth Shaffer; his son Nicholas Edward Shaffer (Christie Michelle Shaffer); his sister Katy Shaffer; his brother-in-law J. Adrian DeRyder Jr.; and his niece Helen Paige DeRyder.

Memorial contributions in John's memory may be made to the family to serve as a scholarship for Nick's further education (please write checks to a member of the family).
