The family announces the passing of Joy Eileen Boyd (Mansfield, Ohio) on September 2, 2026. Joy, born on August 20, 1923, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Joy will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Joy by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Joy is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Joy’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Bash and Verne Bash (Smith); her husband Kenneth E. Boyd; her daughter Carol Boyd Maykowski; and her great grandchild Gareth Schuster.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Boyd (Brenda) and Deb Richardson (Robert). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel (2553 Lexington Ave, Mansfield, OH 44904). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kind Hearts Hospice.
