He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Schaffer Jarvis (Miller); his stepfather Bernard W. Jarvis; his father George Schaffer; his sister Shirley Pennington; and his nephew Chad Talbott.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl A. Schaffer (Donaldson); his daughters, Kathleen A. Morrison (Larry) of Newark, Kristine A. Adams (Matt) of Powell, Wendy L. Doup of Mansfield and Melinda S. Danals (Brian) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Andrew Morrison (Jessica), Jake, Alex Adams, Nathan Doup, Tricia Watson (Matt) and Tiffany Lykins; and his siblings, Robert Jarvis (Jennifer) of Lexington and Jill Farmer (Tom) of Palm Harbor, Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
