He is survived by: his wife Pauline Shaffer (Steward); his granddaughters, Kim Lawhun of Mansfield and Amanda Jordan (Reuben) of Mansfield; his great grandchildren, Gage (Ally), Rion (Bri), Isaiah, Jordan and Louis; his great great grandchildren, Nicole and Ryker; and his sister Charlotte McAfoose (Perry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
