She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelby Nevius and Jennie Nevius; her former husband Waymon Scott; her son LaMario M. Scott; her sisters, Agnes Cansler, Helen Cansler and Murval Porch; and her close friend Warlene Fowler.

She is survived by: her children, Quinn R. Scott of Mansfield and Jenera Scott of Broadview Heights; her grandchildren, Dominic R. Scott (Jessica Baccellieri) of Portland, Oregon and Dejah J. Vorster (Bo) of North Bend, Oregon; her great grandchild Ethan Vorster; her sister Diana Talley; her close friends, Shirley Briggs, Denise Dansby and Sandy Hughes; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Dockery-Dulin, Ethel Scott, Robin Scott, Jessie M. Stinson and Lucille Edwards. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
