He was predeceased by: his parents, Ossie A. Montgomery and May Montgomery; and his brothers, Rodney, Charles and David Montgomery.

He is survived by: his children, Shaun Montgomery (Bethany), Matt Montgomery (Jill), Jennifer Montgomery, Ryan Montgomery, Ashley Day, Kaitlyn Montgomery and Morgan Montgomery; and his siblings, Mike Montgomery, Jean Haddox, Kathy Myers (Woody) and Linda Montgomery.
