She was predeceased by: her parents, Stella Lawhorn and Edward Smith; her husband Haskell Walters; her children, Loretta Branch, Virginia Walters and Haskell Walters, Jr.; her sons-in-law, Alan Swank, William Gibson and Robert Branch; and her siblings, Myrtle McDaniel, Alma Tabor, Willie Bryant and Frederick Harold Gilliam.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bertha Swank, Linda Stamper (Jack) and Julie Gibson; her sisters, Susetta Bland of Plymouth and Rachel Gilliam (Ernie) of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and her daughter-in-law Linda Walters of Mt. Gilead, Ohio. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
