She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Thompson; her sons, Phillip Thompson and Robert Thompson; her grandson Charles Aaron Thompson; her great grandchild Kalel Thompson; her siblings, Paul "Cush" Hunt, Charles "Todank" Hunt, Stella Henderson (Sherman Henderson) and Miranda Hamilton; and her brother-in-law Therman Junior Shepherd.
She is survived by: her children, Goldie "Marlene" Tackett (Earl) of Morehead, KY, Charles Thompson (Rosa) of Mansfield, Michael Thompson (Roshella) of Ft. Gay, WV and Teresa Oakley (Joshua) of Mansfield; and her sisters, Linda Eubanks and Betty Shepherd. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren;; two great-great-grandchildren.
