He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Butts and Martha Butts; his child Erin; and his siblings, Geneva Collins (Calvin), Betty, Jeanette, Leon, Aaron (Joyce), Roscoe and Cecil.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Ann (Glenn) of North Carolina; his sister Rita Thompson of Columbus; his brother-in-law Rev. Donald Merritt of Mansfield; and his daughter-in-law Melody. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
