He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry E. Ellis and Stella D. Ellis (Schivinski); his wife Mary Ellis (Linn); his children, William J. Ellis, Elizabeth A. Watkins and Janet Ellis; and his sister Barbara Ann Burge.
He is survived by: his son Robert E. Ellis, Jr. (Peggy) of Ashland; his nephew William Burge of Mansfield; and his son-in-law Thomas Watkins of Shelby. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
