He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Jones and Helen Jones (Palmer); his brother Roy Thomas Jones; his brother-in-law Richard Sautter; and his niece Deborah Parsons.

He is survived by: his wife Jo Jones; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Sheila Jones of Mansfield; his daughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Michael Dodane of Columbus; his grandchildren, Kyle Jones, Michael Jones (Taylor Mowry), Kiersten Jones (Joshua Walters) and Zachary Dodane; his sister Mary Ann Sautter of Mansfield; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Jones of Chattanooga, TN, E. Robert, Susan Boliantz of Polk, Linda and Ron Mustard of Mansfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in honor of Robert may be made to the American Heart Association or Southern Care Hospice.
