She is survived by: her children, Krystle Mitchell-Lloyd, Leonard Messner Jr. (Kamilah) and Matthew Messner; her grandchildren, Ada Messner, Peyshence Lloyd, Sahryah Lloyd, Jeremiah Messner and Akio Messner; and her siblings, Ashley Mitchell, Maurice Mitchell and Jacqueline Monger (Darrell). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
