He is survived by: his wife Mary Hinton (Smith); his son Tim Hinton; his stepsons, Doug and Robert Lawhorn; and his brothers, Paul, Melvin and Gary Hinton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
