He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Jean Rigsby; his grandchildren, Jonathon Rigsby, Jennifer Brantley Boice, Travis Brantley and Colby Hildreth; his daughter Linda Rigsby Brantley; and his brothers, Jimmy and Everett Rigsby.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Waugh (Randy), Ronda Shrimplin (Jerry), David Welsh (Jennifer), Tara Shaum (Jeremy) and Jason Amick (Lanetta); his grandchildren, Joe Waugh (Jennifer), Debbie Maynard, Nick Waugh, Shelly Robertson (Joshua), Crystal Willford (Adam), Jeremy Shrimplin (Kristi), Jacob Shrimplin (Shannon Willey), Cameron Welsh (Abigail), Jacob Welsh (Lexi), Ashby Welsh (Taylor), Raygen Hunter (Darick) and Jillian Shaum; his pets, Diego and Shorty; and his close friend Scott Cline. He is also survived by twenty-nine great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel (2553 Lexington Ave, Mansfield, OH 44904). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ARC Empowerment Center.
