He was predeceased by: his father Wesley Volz; and his grandparents, Wesley, Elizabeth Volz, Jacob and Elizabeth Weidle.

He is survived by: his mother Sandra Volz (Weidle); his wife Tricia Volz of Mansfield; his children, Jessika Allen (Justin), Elizabeth Volz (Curtis Freeman) and Forest Volz (Mikaela McKenzie); his brothers, Hayden Volz (Kim) and Corey Volz (Jennifer); and his siblings-in-law, Ken Foust (Andrea), Alan Foust (Jennifer) and Kathy McCown (Tom Glenn). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
