It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sidney Gene Caudell of Mansfield, Ohio, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Kathryn (Binion); his stepmother Carol S. Caudell (Lemon); his siblings, Willliam Caudell, Sr., Doug Caudell and Karen Duncan; his half-brother David Caudell; the mother of his child Cherly Brown; and his pet Sadie.
He is survived by: his daughter DaWanna Johnson; his sisters, Kathryn Zajack (George "Mike") of Mansfield and Kristina Guyton (Steve) of Wilmington; his half-siblings, Henry C. Caudell, Jr. (Lynn) of Shelby and Pamela Caudell; and his sister-in-law Penny Caudell (Hunt) of Mansfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Penwell Funeral Home (168 W Main St, Shelby, OH 44875).
