He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas O. Gosweiler and Thelma M. Gosweiler Sr. (Morris); and his sister Katherine Long. He is survived by: his wife Dolores L. (Ebert); and his daughters, Concetta Shipp (Edwin) of Winchester, Virginia and Monique Gilkison of Winchester, Virginia. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
