We announce the death of William James Adkins of Mansfield, Ohio, who passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 93. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Adkins (Porter) of Tennessee and James Hezekiah Adkins; his wife Arvetta Adkins; his son Anthony Adkins; his granddaughter Megan Adkins; and his siblings, Cledith Adkins and Rachel.
He is survived by: his children, William Adkins, James Adkins, Robert Adkins (Pam) and Angela Raymondo (Anthony); his daughter-in-law Gretchen Adkins; his grandchildren, William Adkins, Daniel Adkins, Kelly Adkins, Robyn Adkins, Kayla Copeland (Ross), Kristen Adkins, Scott Griffith, Amy Mitchell (Aaron), Jessica Raymondo, Karly Ernsberger (Ian) and Kyle Mitchell (Alyssa); and his close friend Charles Lambert. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
