It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean D. Savel of Mantua, Ohio, who passed away on October 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Jean shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jean farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard S. Savel; and her parents, Walter Smith and Hulda Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Carole Ranta, Debbie Veverka (Dave) and Linda Cooley (Dale); her grandchildren, Bob (Melissa), Kelly, Kim Ranta, David, Dana Veverka and Rebecca Bolton; and her stepgrandson Zach Cooley (Ymisia). She is also survived by her three daughters, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ (17751 Chillicothe Rd, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023).
