He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gonczy and Esther Gonczy; and his sisters, Bonnie Shoemaker and Dawnie Engdal. He is survived by: his children, Stacie Ferry (Scott) of Leavittsburg and David Gonczy (Kristin) of Estero, Florida; his grandchildren, Sierra Ruff of Litchfield, Colton Ruff of Garrettsville, William Fountain of Garrettsville, Dylan Gonczy of Estero, Florida and Logan Gonczy of Estero, Florida; his great grandchildren, Oakleigh and Liam Fountain; and his sisters, Linda Smith of Yerington, NV, Missy Artrup (Brian) of Spring Creek, NV, Heather Vesey (Chris) of Champion, OH and Kerry Petrie (Shaun) of Mantua, OH.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Green Funeral Care (4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, OH 44255). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Westlawn Cemetery (3991 OH-82, Mantua, OH 44255).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local Animal Protective League in Roger's honor.
