It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Sims-Jenkins (Maple Heights, Ohio), who passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her child Jettie P. Henderson; her father Robert Nichols; and her siblings, Sara A. Harris and Craig C.. She is survived by: her mother Charlene Alexander; her children, Carmelita Lawrence, Rudolph U. Jenkins, Michael D. Jenkins and George L. Sims Jr. (Kenetha); her grandchildren, Shuttera Lawrence, Sierra Lawrence, Janyell Harris, Jasany Jenkins, Najee Young, Alesha Harris, Troy Matthews, Destiny Hall, Michal Jenkins, Ekklesia Jenkins, Alvin Henderson, Miracle Sims and Tony Turner; her great grandchildren, Austin Caldwell, Marquise Lawrence, A'Lay Henderson and Najee Clay; and her siblings, Rosa Lee Carey, Patricia Bouie Hutchinson, Cherry Bynum (Myles), Frances Rollins, Carolyn Wright, Henry Nichols, Bernard Nichols, Alfred Nichols, Devonne Jordan (Larry), Charje Jenkins, Tess Bassie (Karl), Ocurlest Alexander (Wanda) and Bernardo Alexander.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gaines Funeral Home (5386 Lee Rd, Maple Heights, OH 44137). A wake will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
