He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Heitkamp and Hilda Heitkamp (Lochtefeld); and his siblings-in-law, Leroy, Patricia Heitkamp and Marlene Schulze.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Marvin Heitkmap, Maria Stein and Dave Schulze; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Heitkamp, Doug, Shelly Heitkamp Celina, Jaclyn, Kyle Schmiesing, Keith, Kristi Schulze, Jason, Lindsey Schulze, Mitchell, Jennifer Schulze, Renae and Cameron Ross.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the N. J. Hogenkamp Sons, Inc. (61 S Hanover St, Minster, OH 45865). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Rose Catholic Church (7428 OH-119, Maria Stein, OH 45860). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marion Local FFA.
