She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Milam and Viva Milam; her husband Russell Glen Cook; her grandson John Keith Shumate; her great great grandchild Arwen DeLaLuz; her siblings, June Byrd, Stanley, Sherman and Larry Milam; and her children-in-law, Ronnie Madison and Brenda Fury.
She is survived by: her children, Troy Cook of Lower Salem, Ohio, Vonnie Shumate (Jimmy) of Maple Meadow, Fran Madison and Betty Evans (Leroy) of Hillsboro; and her grandchildren, Jim, Toni, Tonja, Jessie, Letitia, Schaunna and Kailyn. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park (1925 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801).
