It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl F. Nau of Marietta, Ohio, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew G. Nau and Margaret Burkhard Nau; his wife Bonnie Sue Griffin Nau; and his siblings, Teresa Braddock and Harry Nau.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce Bowens, Sheila Rhodes (Bryan) and Michael Nau; his grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Evan, Anna Rhodes, Christina Sayres, Allee, Sara Nau and Kevin Bowens; his brother Herman Nau (Betty); and his sister-in-law Joetta Ferrell (Bill). He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel (1021 Pike St, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Assumption (506 4th St, Marietta, OH 45750). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
