She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Ogle and Margaret Hendershot Ogle; her husband Larry Arlen Bates; and her son-in-law Benjamin Heppner. She is survived by: her daughters, Yvonne Renee Elliott (Grant) of Marietta and Wendy D. Heppner of Marietta. She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
