He was predeceased by : his parents, Frederick M. McCain and Edna Jones McCain; his wife Mildred McCain; his son Kirk Donavon; and his siblings, Velma Crudele, Kathleen Ritter, Fred McCain Jr., Alfred McCain and Frank McCain.

He is survived by : his daughter Julie Diane Russell (Jeremy); his granddaughter Hailey Reese Russell of Lexington, Ohio; and his sister Shirley Hartline (Jimmy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home - Marietta (27880 OH-7, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
