The passing of Edna Irene Dye of Marietta, Ohio, born in Newport, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 13, 2024 at the age of 92. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, George Gale Petty Sr. and Ida Mae Noland Petty; and her siblings, Robert, George, Clarence and Bertha Turrill.

She is survived by : her children, Kathy Long (Jack Hammitt) of Cross Hill, SC and Mike Dye (Jayne) of Marietta; her grandchildren, Ashley Wilson (Josh) of Simpsonville, SC and Jason Long (Kiira) of Fountain Inn, SC; her great grandchild Juna Long; her stepgreat-granddaughter Audrey Wilson; and her sister Alice Binegar of Newport. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the McClure-Schafer Funeral Home (314 4th St, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
