He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bartmess and Bertha Shook Bartmess; his wife Lucille Westbrook; and his daughter Diane Griffin of Marietta. He is survived by: his son John Bartmess (Natalie) of Parkersburg; his brother Richard Bartmess (Carolyn); and his nephew Phillip. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
