He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Jean Messick (McIlyar); and his niece Elizabeth McIlyar. He is survived by: his sons, Michael of Westerville, Ohio and Patrick of Westerville, Ohio; his brothers, Michael (Christine McIlyar) and Jeff (Christina Binegar); his nephews, Matthew and Joshua Zimmer; and his niece Caytlin Zimmer. He is also survived by three granddaughters; and two great granddaughters.
