It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gregory Lynn Thompson of Marietta, Ohio, who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Gregory may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gregory touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his sons, Greg Thompson (Mindy) and Sam Thompson (Kat); his stepchildren, Patrick Miller (Christine) and Kendra Miller; and his brothers, Jim Thompson (Dorothy) and Paul Thompson (Dottie). He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Roberts Funeral Home - Marietta (27880 OH-7, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
