It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Roberts (Marietta, Ohio), who passed away on July 7, 2020, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Paul James. He is survived by: his mother Beatrice Claire Roberts; his wife Lou Ann Siegel Roberts; his children, Matthew Roberts (Alexandra) of Bloomington, Andrew Roberts and Embrey Roberts; his stepmother Shirley Roberts; and his siblings, William Roberts (Melissa), David Roberts (Julie), Keith Roberts (Julie) and Brigitte Roberts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church at 301 Wooster Street, Marietta, Ohio, 45750.

“Dear Roberts family. When I heard of Jim's passing, I was was stunned. The shock and sorrow has buried itself deep in my soul. I've know Jim since the summer of 1981, working together during summer breaks from College. He a Miami Grad, me BGSU. What fun we had. He made our job fun. What a guy. His dry humor, straight face when he's laughing inside made me laugh many times. I'm so sorry. He was a great man, husband, father and I loved him dearly. He occupied a big space in my heart”

He was never afraid to crack a joke to break the tension in a stressful situation. He was often able hide what he truly felt through his sense of humor.
