Leah Jane Hughes Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Leah Jane Hughes in Marietta, Ohio. Leah, born on January 6, 1934, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Needs and Laura Viola Mitchem Needs; her former husband Dale E. Hughes; her sons, Donovan Hughes and Scott Hughes (Karen); and her siblings, Ralph, Francis Needs and Ruth Ann White.
She is survived by: her children, Randall Hughes (Julia) of Marietta, Caroline Hinton of Marietta and Merrilee Burt of Waterford; her significant other Paul Cameron of Lowell; her stepchildren, Mike Cameron of Vincent, Carol Vincent of Mineral Wells, WV and Kim Haase of Parkersburg, WV; and her sisters, Lillian Holmes of Troy and Evelyn Strauss (Tom) of Waterford. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great- great granddaughters.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCurdy Funeral Home (309 6th St, Beverly, OH 45715). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
