Marjorie R. Shears Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marjorie R. Shears of Marietta, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Kaneff and Jennie Kaneff; her husband Gilbert Shears; and her siblings, Dorothy Goodwill, Bernice Nesper and Robert Kaneff.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rita Hill (Jim) and Jeryl Thrash (Jim); her grandchildren, Megan Gault (Greg), Joel Thrash (Carrie) and Joshua Thrash (Carrie); and her great grandchildren, Madison, Ethan Gault, Grady, Coryn Thrash, Lindley and Naomi Thrash.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel (1021 Pike St, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the East Lawn Cemetery (27880 OH-7, Marietta, OH 45750).
