He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Benjamin Smith and Alice Frances Smith; and his sisters, Barbara, Linda and Karen.

He is survived by: his wife Debra M. Smith; his sons, Jeffrey Smith and Marc Smith (Courtney); his grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Brady Smith (Kyleigh), Harper Smith and Sawyer Smith; his great grandchild Dahlia; and his siblings, Andrew Smith (Peggy), Steven Smith (Colleen) and Suzanne Sharlow.
