He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hockenberry and Dorothy Hockenberry; his mother-in-law Ressie Quick; his brother Jim Hockenberry; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Camden and Jean Hockenberry.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hockenberry (Quick); his sons, Randy Hockenberry (Melinda) and Scott Hockenberry (Diane); his granddaughter Brandy McBride (Jason); his great grandchild Jocelyn Sharee Mcbride; his siblings, Chuck Hockenberry, Glenda Mae Camden and Norma Jean Pitzer; and his sister-in-law Gloria Hockenberry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
