He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Walters and Dessie Pryor Walters; and his siblings, Ronnie, Randy and Gale.

He is survived by: his wife Sandell Walters; his children, Adam Walters, Sarah Brooker (Andy) and Rachael Townsend (Jake); his grandchildren, Brent, Addison Brooker, Jace and Dexter Townsend; and his siblings, Donna Krigbaum (Randy), Darlene Fleeman (Jim), Dale Walters and Roger Walters. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
