She was predeceased by: her parents, H. R. "Skeet" Smith and Naomi Smith; her sisters, Shirley Nicholas and Sandra Elder; and her husband Charles William "Bill" Wesel.
She is survived by: her children, Eric (Anne) of Upper Arlington, OH, Kurt Sandstrom of Marietta and Sandi Martin (John) of Marietta; her sister Susan Smith of Williamstown, WV; her grandchildren, Sarah Shea, Trent, Ethan Sandstrom, Gary McCoy, Jeffrey Wesel (Courtney), Andrew Wesel (Katy), Aaron Wesel (Margie), Eric Wesel (RaeSean), Stephanie Chatham (Ben), Jenni Genest (Ryan), Alissa Caple (Chris), Emily, Wesley Barwinski, Ryan and Aiden Wesel; her sibling's children, Carrie Elder, Jennifer Phillips and Barry "Chip" Elder Jr.; and also, Bill Wesel (Alberta) of Marietta, Ron Wesel (Charmel) of Marietta, Diane Hockenberry (Scott) of Marietta, Karen Barwinski (Bill) of Dublin, OH and Thomas Wesel (Kristin) of Portland, OR. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
