Walter Hiener Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Hiener of Marietta, Ohio, who passed away on July 5, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Hiener and Ruth A. LaFaber Hiener; his daughter Jane Hiener; his siblings, Robert, Raymond, Joseph, Kathryn Ross, Martha Hudnall, Margaret Groves, Mary Louise Hockenberry, Florence Bartyczak, Helen Yost and Louella Wilson; his nephew Richard Ross; and his brother-in-law Keith Doak.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Gayle Doak; his children, Michael Hiener (Diane) of Dorset, OH, Joy Lane (Philip) of Rocky Mount, NC and Mark Hiener (Brandy) of Marietta; his grandchildren, Abigail and Aaron; and his sister-in-law Nancy Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
