He is survived by: his parents, Charles E. Petty of Marion and Vera Thomas (Davenport) of Gallipolis Ferry; his daughter Audrey Petty; his stepfather Dave Thomas; and his siblings, Kenneth Davenport (Kimberly) of Marion, Jeanie Imbody (Allen) of Marion and Crystal Petty of Lima. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
