He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Russell and Delores Russell (White). He is survived by: his wife Linda S. Russell (Ray); his children, Beth Kee (James) and Brian Russell (Jim); his stepchildren, Danielle Wright (Shaun), Lincoln Counts (Sheila) and Jenny Geyer; his brother Kevin Russell (Deb); his grandchildren, Merrick, Cole, Brendan, Ellie, Evan, Emily, Khloe, Keily, Haleigh and Alex; and his pets, Sissy and Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Marion Humane Society or the Marion County Historical Society.
