We announce the death of Doris Jordan-Hurd of Marion, Ohio, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 80. Doris will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Doris will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Doris’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Booker T. Johnson and Minnie Belle Nunally (Showers); and her siblings, Bruce Allan Johnson and Virginia L. Simpkins. She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Booker (Eugene Jr.) and Jannita Jordan; her grandchildren, Juanita, Sydney and Derrick Jordan; her great grandchildren, Aaliyah and Jayden Jones; and her nephew Karlos King.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Home (122 W Columbia St, Marion, OH 43302).
